Since he left the University of Iowa with a law degree more than four decades ago, this insurance-oriented retirement analyst and estate planner has distinguished himself as a renowned author of eleven well received books including industry staple Preserving Family Wealth Using Tax Magic – Strategies Worth Millions, published in March 1995 by the New York-based Berkley Publishing Group. Through the decades, Dick Duff has also been a contributor of articles for books published by other well-respected financial-industry publishers including Prentice Hall and Dearborn Financial Publishing, those having been well received in advance of Dick's latest book, Retirement Breakthrough!, which is due for hardcover release in Spring, 2010.

A frequently sought academic lecturer, Duff has been a featured/keynote speaker at Cornell and Stanford Universities, Oxford University, the University of Wisconsin, Purdue University, the University of Colorado, the University of Arizona, the University of Connecticut, Rollins and Stetson Universities, the University of Denver School of Law and Houston University to name a few. Subjects covered have run a gamut of topics of interest to retirees, attorneys, consumer-level investors, CPAs, Chartered Life Underwriters and health care officials. He accordingly has been invited to lecture groups diverse as the Chicago Association of Life Underwriters, the Denver CPA Society, the Wyoming State Medical Association and select staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.
